The Speaking section of the PTE Academic is one of the most challenging for students, not because it requires advanced ideas, but because it is scored by a computer. The AI system evaluates pronunciation, fluency, intonation, and content accuracy. This means even native or fluent speakers can lose marks if they pause too much, speak too fast or slow, or mispronounce words. At SpeakPro, our program helps students master both natural speaking skills and the specific techniques needed to satisfy PTE scoring criteria.
Pronunciation & Fluency Mastery
• Training in clear articulation and neutral accent.
• Practice with intonation, stress, and rhythm to sound natural.
• Avoiding fillers, hesitations, and long pauses.
• Read Aloud: How to scan sentences, group words into phrases, and read with natural stress.
• Repeat Sentence: Techniques for short-term memory, chunking, and reproducing speech accurately.
• Describe Image: Using templates to structure descriptions (overview → details → conclusion).
• Retell Lecture: Active listening and note-taking strategies, turning key points into a fluent retelling.
• Answer Short Questions: Quick, clear responses with correct pronunciation.
• Expanding topic-based vocabulary for describing images, lectures, and ideas.
• Using connectors and discourse markers (e.g., "firstly," "as a result," "in comparison") to extend responses.
• Training to start speaking within the 1–2 second preparation window.
• Maintaining fluency without rushing.
• Practicing with exam-simulated timing.
• Use of PTE practice software to analyze fluency, pronunciation, and content scores.
• Personalized teacher feedback to fix weak points.
Our teachers combine skill training + strategy training. Students first learn how to speak naturally with proper pronunciation and rhythm, then apply exam techniques for each task type. For example, in "Describe Image," teachers provide ready-to-use sentence structures, while in "Repeat Sentence," students practice memory-building and shadowing exercises. Every lesson includes real-time speaking practice, corrections, and confidence-building drills.
After completing the SpeakPro PTE Speaking Program, students will be able to:
• Speak fluently with correct pronunciation and rhythm recognized by the PTE scoring system.
• Confidently approach every PTE Speaking task with tested strategies and templates.
• Extend answers naturally, avoiding short or incomplete responses.
• Use a wider vocabulary range and effective connectors in spontaneous speaking.
• Perform under real exam timing and computer-based conditions.
• Achieve a strong speaking band score, unlocking their full potential in PTE Academic.
